Watering Restrictions
The St. Johns River Water Management District has issued a Phase III Extreme Water Shortage Order that includes Lake County due to ongoing dry conditions. This order reduces landscape irrigation from two days per week to ONE DAY PER WEEK. Irrigation is not allowed between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. To clarify, these restrictions apply to landscape irrigation, which includes watering with: potable water, reclaimed water, or private wells.
Current watering schedule:
- Odd-numbered addresses: Saturday
- Even-numbered addresses: Sunday
- Nonresidential properties: Tuesday
New plants/sod:
- Every day for the first 15 days after installation
- Up to three days per week for the next 30 days
- Up to two days per week for the final 15 days
These restrictions apply as reclaimed water availability continues to be impacted by dry conditions and higher seasonal demand. Please check your irrigation timers and plan watering only on your assigned day. A little conservation goes a long way when the whole system is feeling thirsty.
