Public Records Request
Under Florida Statutes Chapter 119, municipal records are open for inspection and copying by any person.
Requests are not required to be in writing, nor is the requester required to provide their name or an explanation as to why they are making the request. For those who do not wish to make a written request, please call our records department at (352) 801-7066 or visit the Public Safety Building at 516 W Berckman St, Fruitland Park FL 34731. If you would like to make a records request via email, please email fprecords@fruitlandpark.org or use the link below to send a request for records.
When making a request it must be clear enough to enable the records department to conduct a meaningful search. The records department may ask questions about the request to enable a full and prompt response.
The Police Department may apply a service charge if extensive use of technology resources, clerical or supervisory assistance is required. In this case, a written estimate of charges will be provided to the requester. The records clerk will send an invoice via email and expect it to be paid before compiling such requests. The records department will acknowledge receipt of a request within a reasonable amount of time.
