On October 10, 2013, the City of Fruitland Park City Commission ("city"), appointed the city clerk as its Records Management Liaison Officer to serve as a point of contact between the city and the State of Florida Department of State, Division of Library and Information Services' ("division") records management program to:

  • provide annual reports of the city's compliance statement;
  • ensure proper disposition of eligible records;
  • train and advise city staff in records management practices;

  • work with the division to establish retention schedules;
  • inventory the city's records, and 
  • participate with the city's decisions regarding imaging, storage, and disposal.
