Public Works Department

The public works department is responsible for the maintenance of buildings, parks, streets, and public lands within the city as well as the water and wastewater utility systems.

Under the supervision of the public works department director, the public works employees maintain the repair of streets, the grounds maintenance, upkeep of right of ways, and the repair and maintenance of the water and wastewater systems. The public works department director reports to the city manager.

For after-hours water or sewer emergencies, please call Lake County Sheriff’s Office at (352) 343-2101 and an on-call public works employee will be dispatched to your location.
