The Community Development Department provides services in several areas of land use such as annexations, rezoning, site plans, subdivisions, and the issuing of building permits.
The Department reviews all building permits and development applications for conformity with the City's Land Development Regulations, the Florida Building Code, the City's Comprehensive Plan, and other applicable state laws and regulations. Business Tax Receipt (formerly known as occupational licenses) applications are issued by the city clerk's office for commercial, professional and home occupations that are valid annually from October 1 through September 30.
