Technical Review Committee (TRC)

Under subsection 152.080 Land Development Code (LDR), Administration, the Technical Review Committee (TRC) has been created to provide technical review of development applications when authorized by the Land Development Code. The members comprise of the following department heads or designees:

City Manager
Police Department
Fire Department
Public Works Department (Utilities)
Community Development Department (building)
Engineering (retained by the city)
Planning (retained by the city)                                                                                                                                                                                                                 
Floodplain (retained by the city)

Regularly scheduled meetings are held at least once a month (usually first Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. in the commission chambers), unless there are no applications requiring review at that time. A special meeting may be called to allow extra time to review large or complex applications submitted by the appropriate deadline for the next regularly scheduled meeting. The TRC may consider applications by the individual members of the Technical Review Committee at any time.
