The City of Fruitland Park is looking for an experienced Lift Station Mechanic for our Sewer Department. This position is a full-time skilled manual labor job for someone who has experience in repairing and maintaining lift stations, pump stations, and collection systems. We are specifically looking for someone who has worked in a municipal sewer department or construction building and maintaining lift stations.
Qualifications:
You must possess at a minimum:
1) A Class "C" Wastewater Collections Certified Operators License issued by the State of FLorida, or the ability to obtain one within six months of hire.
2) A valid Florida Driver's License
3) A Class "B" Florida CDL with air brakes/tanker endorsement required.
Fruitland Park provides a generous benefits package including 100% free healthcare and dental (low option) for the employee, plus we contribute 30% toward dependent healthcare. The City is a participant in the Florida Retirement System (FRS).
The starting pay range is $20.50 - $24.00 DOE and qualifications.
