Trick-or-Treat Fruitland Park
October 31, 2022 6pm-8:30pm
The Fruitland Park Police Department and Lake County Fire Department will be hosting our annual Halloween Outing.
The event will involve closing Shiloh Street and the connecting neighborhood streets as it does each year. The streets will close at 6pm and open back up at 8:30pm. Please park at the softball fields and soccer fields at Shiloh Street and Dixie Avenue.
We encourage all Trick-or-Treaters to practice Safety while out and about in all areas! Here are just a few friendly reminders:
Plan a route- Stick to familiar areas that are well lit.
Stay in groups- Children should trick-or-treat in groups, not alone.
See and Be Seen- Avoid costumes that block vision. Make your kid visible in the dark. Reflective tape, flashlights, or glow sticks make children visible to drivers.
Remind children to wait until home to eat candy. Parents and children should do a thorough check of all candy. Even synthetic candies can be made to look real.
