Countywide Cleanup

Keep Lake Beautiful, a Keep America Beautiful affiliate, is seeking residents and volunteers to participate in the Lake County Countywide Cleanup on Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to noon at Northwest Lake Park, 200 Shiloh St., Fruitland Park, 34731. Volunteers are needed to help cleanup along roadways and residents are encouraged to clean up their homes and yards and drop off bulk items for proper disposal. Trash grabbers, trash bags, gloves, safety vests and water will be provided to volunteers.
A Tire Amnesty Day is being conducted as part of the cleanup event. Residents can dispose of up to 24 passenger tires for free from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on October 5, 2019 at the Lake County Solid Waste Facility located at 13130 County Landfill Road in Tavares.
Event sponsors include The Lake County Board of County Commissioners, Florida Department of Transportation, Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Keep Florida Beautiful, the City of Leesburg, Waste Connections Inc., Waste Pro, WCA, Wal-Mart and Lake County Water Authority.
