The City of Fruitland Park is governed by a Commission consisting of five members, each elected at large for five year terms.
The duties of Commission are to set policy and budget.
The Mayor acts as chairman of the commission.
Laws, Zoning and Budgets of the City are set by the City Commission. Management of the City's business is overseen by a City Manager who is employed by the Commission. He manages the day to day business of the City.
The Commission also employees the City Clerk, City Treasurer, and City Attorney.
The Commission meets on the second and fourth Thursday evening of the month, at 7:00 PM, in City Hall. Meetings are open to the public.
